ブランドの歩み

MST STUDIO MOUTHPIECESは、
2020年、トロンボーン奏者
Markus Starke により創設。

ロサンゼルス・スタジオ奏者の系譜に着想を得て、
名匠 James R New と協働。
少量生産により、設計思想と完成度を追求。

2026年、その理念と思想を受け継ぐ形で、
トロンボーン奏者・岩崎浩が事業を継承。

伝統を尊重しながら、
ブランドは新たな体制のもと、
次の時代へ。

Brand Story

Founded in 2020 by trombonist Markus Starke,
MST STUDIO MOUTHPIECES drew inspiration
from the Los Angeles studio legacy.
In collaboration with master craftsman James R New,
it pursued design integrity
through small-batch production.

In 2026,
trombonist Hiroshi Iwasaki assumed stewardship,
carrying the philosophy forward.

アメリカ・ユタ州ハリケーンの工房にて、
James R New が一貫して担当。

設計思想を深く理解し、
精度・再現性・音響特性に責任を持つ。

Manufacturing

MST STUDIO MOUTHPIECES
are made exclusively by James R New
in his workshop in Hurricane, Utah (USA).

With deep understanding of the design philosophy,
he ensures precision, consistency,
and acoustic performance.

James R New

1973年、米国金管楽器製造の現場でキャリアを開始。
F.E. Olds & Son、Benge を経て、
Zig Kanstul と共に製作に従事。

1982年、Kanstul Musical Instruments
創業時に第一号社員として参画。
CNC技術導入とマウスピース部門立ち上げを主導。

現在、ユタ州ハリケーンの工房にて製作を続ける。

Began brassmaking in 1973;
worked at F.E. Olds & Son and Benge,
then with Zig Kanstul. Joined Kanstul Musical Instruments
in 1982 as employee #1,
leading CNC adoption and the mouthpiece division.

Now crafts in Hurricane, Utah.
