開発者の岩崎浩は、トロンボーン奏者であり、音楽ユニット「Sliding Cafe」プロデューサー。さらに、トラックメイカー／レコーディング＆マスタリングエンジニアとしても活動しています。演奏家としての実感と、エンジニアとしての客観的な耳。その両輪から、録音・ライブの現場で真に“使える”実用性を追求した製品を送り出しています。

MellowTone Ringには、管楽器調律技術（特許出願中）を応用した独自の音響処理を採用。金属が本来持つ自然な響きを引き出し、音の立ち上がりやコントロール性を向上させます。その結果、音は輪郭をもって前に出る感覚が得られ、演奏の表現力と精度を支えます。MellowTone Ring は管楽器調律研究所から正式に認定を受けた「管楽器調律研究所認定・音響アクセサリー」です。

Its developer, Hiroshi Iwasaki, is a trombonist, producer of the music unit Sliding Cafe, and also an active track maker, recording engineer, and mastering engineer. Guided by both a performer’s firsthand experience and an engineer’s objective listening perspective, he develops products with genuine practical value for real recording and live performance settings.

The MellowTone Ring incorporates a proprietary acoustic treatment based on brass instrument tuning technology currently under patent application. This treatment enhances the metal’s natural resonance, while improving articulation, control, and tonal response. The result is a sound with greater focus, clearer projection, and improved expressive precision. The MellowTone Ring has been officially recognized by the Brass Instrument Tuning Laboratory as a certified acoustic accessory.
